Selling Your House At Auction - Before The Auction

If you decide you do want to auction your home, you will still need to seek advice from an estate agent or, even better, a qualified property auctioneer. You need to have your home valued, and you need advice on the amount you should set your reserve price at.

You will also need to contact your conveyancer/solicitor and have them draw up a contract highlighting any specific details or special conditions; these will be printed in the auction brochure.

You will need to open your home for the potential buyers that have seen your home in the brochure, so they may view it. Also you need to allow surveyors to have access to your home, for those potential buyers who express further interest in your property. Try to be flexible with your times, and allow as many people to view your property as possible.
