Things you should do...
Arrange to be absent during the viewings, you don’t want to put the viewers under pressure, let your estate agents (if you decide to use one) to show them around. Turn the heating up and open the windows, this will create free flowing air around the house, you don’t want the house to seem stuffed up with stale air, and at the same time you don’t want it to be too cold. If you have a fireplace, light it (if it’s not hot whether obviously) and open the curtains if it’s daytime. Put on some quiet music in the background, this will help create a nice relaxed atmosphere.
After the front garden, the next thing the viewers will see will be the front door/porch area. Make sure this is clean and tidy, with neat paint work and the doorbell works!
Try viewing it for your self; imagine you’re the potential buyer. Start on the road side, and make your way through your house as any person would, make a note of the things you don’t like and fix them after.
