Selling Your House At Auction

Choosing Your Auction House
This is very important, you want to make sure the houses at the auction will be around the current value of your home, its no good putting your home in an auction that consists of mansions, and at the other end of the scale, you don’t want to put your house in an auction that consist of derelict flats or houses, as it will be very unlikely you will sell.

What will it cost?
The auctioneer will charge you around 2.5% commission on the sale, but even if it doesn’t sell, you will still have to pay for the cost of the advertisement of your property in the brochures and catalogues, as well as a portion of the room hire fees.

Information Pack
You may be asked to put together an information pack about your property, this typically will contain; an independent survey, property details, other information. You may even be asked to pay for advanced land registry fee and local searches. These will be valid for three months from the date on which they are carried out.
